Museum Enters the Blogosphere
I have come to expect provocative designs, swaths of sumptuous fabric, and a bevy of couture each time I venture to the Costume Institute at the Met. But this time, Harold Koda met me with another surprise: a computer bar where I could instantly capture my reactions to the garments in a blog. I was provoked to share my take on iconic pieces ranging from a 1980’s Donna Karan jersey jumpsuit to a 19th century lace bonnet. The responses from “blog.mode: addressing fashion” will be published online and upon the exhibits’ conclusion published in a book. Discover the exhibit though April 13 or online now.
